About

The Engineering Division strives to enhance the health, safety, and welfare of the community by providing sound, cost-effective engineering services to Cody and its citizens.

The Engineering Division is responsible for:

    • Acting as the flood-plain manager for the City of Cody
    • Assisting the Public Works Director in reviewing all proposed subdivisions, boundary line adjustments, annexations, and zoning changes
    • Development of water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans
    • Evaluating and maintaining Cody's traffic and transportation system
    • Maintaining an extensive collection of maps, aerial photos, record drawings, plats and infrastructure records
    • Providing technical assistance to developers and customers during the planning process
    • Reviewing and permitting of all infrastructure improvements within the city limits
    • Working with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), and other State and Federal Agencies
    • Working with the Street and Utility Divisions to plan and design major infrastructure projects

The Engineering Division includes a Staff Engineer and a Public Works Administrative Assistant.
