City of Cody Mayor Matt Hall attended the christening ceremony for the US Navy ship named USNS Cody (EPF 14) on February 25, 2023 in Mobile, AL. Cody joins Casper, Cheyenne, and Laramie as Wyoming cities chosen as US Navy vessel namesakes.
A Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport, the USNS Cody is among nearly 100 other US Naval ships that operate globally each day and is equipped to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies. USNS Cody also specializes in advanced medical capabilities.

“On behalf of my citizens, it is an honor for our town to be selected as the namesake of this amazing vessel,” Cody Mayor Matt Hall said, “and as I look on at the USNS Cody and think of its mission, I feel blessed—like I hope all of you do—to live in America.”
