The City of Cody does not pay customers for recyclables. There is a program in which the City does pay schools for aluminum cans which have been donated in their behalf. Residents may choose to donate their cans to the area school of their choice. At the end of the school year, the total pounds donated for each school is tallied, and the school is paid 25¢ per pound. For more information, view the Aluminum Can Contest brochure.
